Elgato HD60s Review

What a piece of heaven this device is. The Elgato Gaming HD60s is a capture card for recording and streaming your video games from your Desktop Computer or Laptop. The HD60s is portable, and can capture up to 1080P at 60 FPS with a 40 Megabit Stream (for those curious my YouTube videos are 4K at 30 FPS and also 40 Megabits, so the quality here is very good for a device so small). The device has an HDMI in and out, as well as an Audio port and connects with a USB Type C connection (you cannot get the full 40 MB stream with USB 2.0 so 3.0 is recommended).

One thing that was a slight downfall with the HD60 Pro offered by Elgato is that it is an internal PCI-Express card, which limits it to desktop PC's. The HD60s can be used with any desktop, any laptop, Mac or Windows.

In addition, you also are able to use all of the features of the GameCaptureHD software. The key features of this include Flashback Recording, so if you hit the big quad kill, you can do back up to 10 minutes and capture the entire moment!

The thing that draws people to this the most is the lag-free playthrough, which allows you to play the game without and latency from the device, as many older game capture options had.
